Cemetery Department

The Town of Franklinton Cemetery Department is dedicated to providing compassionate, efficient, and professional service while maintaining the town’s cemeteries with dignity and respect. The Town operates two cemeteries, Evergreen and Fairview, ensuring they remain well-kept and serene resting places for the community’s loved ones.

Chris George, the Cemetery Coordinator, works closely with the Franklinton Public Works Department to oversee cemetery maintenance, coordinate burials, manage plot sales, research grave sites, and facilitate various related services. Prior to any actions taking place in Evergreen or Fairview Cemetery, a Cemetery Action Form must be submitted to and approved by Chris George. Forms can be submitted by email at cgeorge@franklintonnc.gov or at Town Hall - 101 North Main Street Franklinton, NC 27525.
